Aquatron 50th Anniversary Celebration

From touch tanks and face painting to ocean glider demos and tours of the Aquatron, Canada’s largest ocean research facility, Community Day will offer programming and activities to meet the interests of every ocean enthusiast. You will meet some of Dalhousie’s world-leading ocean researchers and learn about the ground-breaking work they do to understand this vast aquatic environment and conserve the creatures that call it home. 

Designed to engage and excite the young and young-at-heart, you will leave with a new appreciation of the ocean and the researchers who have made it the focus of their life’s work.

Date: Saturday, May 11, 2024

Time: 1 - 4 p.m.

Location: Atrium (2nd floor), Steele Ocean Science Building, 6375 Edzell Circle

Parking: Free street parking on parts of Oxford Street; Non-reserved parking spots in Dal-owned lots are free on weekends. Park in one of several lots near to the Steele Ocean Sciences Building.

Dalhousie Agricultural (Truro) Campus Community Day

Come visit us at our booth during Dalhousie’s Community Day at the Truro Campus in Bible Hill, NS. The Campus will be open to the community to celebrate all things agriculture. Find out about how the Aquatron is involved in agricultural research. We’ll have games and prizes and lots of swag to take home!
