Three of our professors have been awarded Dalhousie SSHRC Research Development Grants for their projects:

Jennifer Grek Martin (Lecturer) for Tourism and Perceptions of Literary and Cinematic Place

Lori McCay-Peet (Assistant Professor) for Boundary-Crossing: Implications for the Use of Social Media for Knowledge Work

Mike Smit (Assistant Professor) for The Effects of Semantic Search on the Information Seeking Behaviour of Search Engine Users

We are proud to say that SIM faculty and students are involved in a variety of fascinating research that crosses many disciplines - computer science, geography and communications, just to name a few. Learn more about our research initiatives here.

Congratulations to all!
