Graduate scholarships

External scholarships at Dalhousie have two application processes: applications through the academic Faculty and applications through Graduate Studies.

The scholarships through the Faculty are:

  • One-year Masters scholarship
  • Nova Scotia Graduate scholarships
  • Dalhousie Research Excellence scholarships
  • Killam Predoctoral Award

   📣 ACT NOW!!

Applications for these scholarships are due by January 16, 2026, with application information available on our website.

The scholarships through Graduate Studies require a separate application. Consult Graduate Studies for their application process and timeline.

You can, and are encouraged to apply to the Faculty scholarships even before you apply to the university itself; material that you develop for the scholarship application, like the research proposal, can then be re-used for the university application.
