In early January, the Faculty of Management officially initiates its five-year $5M project in Cuba, Local Economic Development and Food Security in Eastern Cuba.
Dr. Martine Durier-Copp of the Faculty of Management and Patricia Rodee, Director, International Research and Development, will travel to La Habana and to the four provinces of Eastern Cuba, where the project will focus its activities--Guantánamo, Las Tunas, Granma and Santiago--to officially begin project activities. The objectives are to support the Government of Cuba's priorities of increased food security, local economic development, import substitution and resource conservation.
