As a School of Social Work graduate, you are a member of a talented and thoughtful professional community of alumni working in countless ways to create a more socially just, and caring society. We encourage you to be a strong link in the Social Work community by maintaining a close connection to the School.
The Dalhousie University School of Social Work invites all graduates and alumni to stay connected by joining our Alumni group on LinkedIn. This group is intended to create an online community for sharing updates, making connections, sharing job opportunities, offering/seeking field placement opportunities, asking for or offering support and resources, and staying in touch with the Dalhousie School of Social Work.
You can join the group by searching Dalhousie University School of Social Work Alumni Group on LinkedIn and requesting to join. Please note that a LinkedIn account is required to join the group.
Membership
Membership is open to all graduates of the BSW and MSW degree programs, locally and across Canada.
Our focus
We develop and maintain relationships with the School of Social Work, students, faculty, staff and community members.
What we do
- We fund raise and organize special projects for the F.R. MacKinnon and School of Social Work Alumni scholarships
- We host events to welcome and connect MSW and BSW distance and campus students
- We particpiate with community partners
- We work within Dalhousie's School of Social Work and the Faculty of Health, and also collaborate with the Dalhousie Alumni Association.
