Shrews in Shakespeare, lawyers in Dickens and Collins, Rhys’ Wide Sargasso Sea, Wharton’s Age of Innocence, Django Unchained, Sarah’s Key, Orwell’s Nineteen Eighty-four, écriture feminine in Sharon Olds, Williams and Eliot, Lolita and Death in Venice, Kafka—those were the literature topics in this year’s two-day Honours colloquium.

A conference in honour of the centenary of the birth of George Whalley, the eminent Canadian man of letters, will be held at Queen’s University, 24-26 July 2015.
