This course is designed to increase awareness and test the competency of tractor operators with regard to the safe operation and use of farm tractors and implements.
The following people can take this course:
- 14 to 16-year-olds with a valid Nova Scotia Class 8 drivers license who want to be able to haul equipment on Nova Scotia roads
- Those with a valid class 5 drivers license who want to increase their tractor safety knowledge and skills
Participants with a valid Nova Scotia Class 8 driver’s license who successfully complete the course will receive a wallet card that enables them to operate a tractor with an attached implement on Nova Scotia roads. Please note that the wallet card is valid for a farm tractor and trailer if the combined weight is 14,000 kg or less.
