Work is beginning this week on the South Campus to install new hot water heating distribution lines. This includes buildings on the south side of College Road with the exception of Residences, Jenkins, Cumming Hall and Dairy Building.
This is the first part of a $24.2 million project to renew the existing Biomass Heating Plant. In future, heat will be provided via hot water as opposed to steam. The work will begin on the south side of River Road and last for 12 weeks. There may be brief traffic delays during this period of construction. The central work area is located at the Extension Engineering Buildings’ parking lot. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we improve the facilities on campus. There will be regular updates between now and project completion in early 2018. Full details are available on the campus development website
