Mentorship

Supporting students, research assistants & interns

ACEWH was privileged to provide mentorship to students, research assistants and interns from a wide variety of disciplinary backgrounds. Sometimes we were able to provide financial support, through the Healthy Balance Research Program Scholarships and the Canadian International Development Agency International Youth Internship Program.

At all times we provided opportunities for research and work experience, including training in sex- and gender-based analysis and grant proposal writing, as well as exposure to policy development and community engagement processes.

Often, ACEWH benefitted as much from these relationships as did the students and interns who brought energy, passion and new knowledge to bear in the interests of advancing the status and health of women and girls.
