To help support planning and preparation for upcoming major competitions over the Spring term, the Office of Research Services has provided a list of deadlines, including the ORS internal deadlines. Opportunities are listed chronologically, according to the ORS internal deadline.

Researchers are asked to submit their applications to ORS by the internal deadline listed below. Submission to ORS should take place via the ROMEO portal, to ensure the investigator’s checklist and Department and Faculty approvals are received. In meeting internal deadlines, this allows appropriate time for review of applications and budgets for compliance with the funder’s and the university’s guidelines and policies. Meeting internal deadlines also allows for review and preparation of additional documentation as required, such as letters of support and/or confirmation of institutional contributions, to support submission of the application to the funder in advance of their deadline.

For specific funding opportunity information, and for other upcoming opportunities, please be sure to review the ORS newsletter on a regular basis. Most opportunities have an internal deadline of 10 business days in advance of the funder’s deadline. As a reminder, whether the funding agency requires it or not, all applications must receive Departmental and Faculty approval and be approved by the Vice President Research & Innovation (or designate) prior to submission.
