The Canadian International Development Scholarships 2030 (BCDI 2030) will launch a call for proposals for scholarship projects in Canada on April 4, 2024.

Funded by Global Affairs Canada (GAC), BCDI 2030 aims to foster the social and economic development of people, particularly women, from eligible Francophonie and Commonwealth countries, as well as other Small Island Developing States.

This program offers participants high-quality, inclusive education and training opportunities, including technical and professional training, to address inequality, bettering their lives and their communities. The program focuses on several key areas, including STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics), Artificial Intelligence, green and blue economies, climate action, health sciences, and governance and administration.

Each university can submit one proposal for a scholarship project, in partnership with a higher education institution in one of the 26 eligible countries.

Depending on the outcomes of this call, this could be the final opportunity for post-secondary institutions to submit applications for scholarship projects.

Because of the limit on applications, there will be an internal EOI process. More details will follow after the call is launched.
