Russell Sage Foundation (RSF): upcoming calls and webinar

Posted by Jaq-Lin Larder on May 29, 2023 in Research Funding

RSF dedicates itself to strengthening the methods, data, and theoretical core of the social sciences in order to better understand societal problems and develop informed responses.

Note that grants from the Russell Sage Foundation are open to Canadian researchers, but the focus of research must be on the United States.

Visiting Scholar Program:

The Russell Sage Foundation provides support for scholars to conduct their research and writing at the Russell Sage Foundation headquarters in New York City for up to one year. Supports include office space, salary contribution, and assistance with accommodations.

Research Grants:

For its next research grants deadline, RSF will accept letters of inquiry (LOIs) under any of its core programs and special initiatives: Behavioral Science and Decision Making in Context; Future of Work; Immigration and Immigrant Integration; Race, Ethnicity, and Immigration; and Social, Political, and Economic Inequality. It will also accept LOIs relevant to any core program that addresses the effects of social movements, such as drives for unionization and mass social protests, and the effects of racial/ethnic/gender bias and discrimination on a range of outcomes related to social and living conditions in the United States.

Webinar:

RSF will host a webinar about how to apply for RSF funding on June 27, 2023 at 2pm EST. Register for the webinar.

Details of RSF funding opportunities are available here.
