The Arctic in 2040 – A Discussion

On Wednesday, November 20, Dal will host an Arctic Research Symposium to encourage capacity building, foster collaboration and discuss pressing issues related to research in the Arctic region. The aim of the symposium is to bring together researchers and graduate students working in the Arctic space.

The event will take place from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. on campus and will feature keynote presentations from Dr. Aaron Dotson, Interim Vice Provost Research at the University of Alaska Anchorage and Dr. Vanessa Hiratsuka, Senior Researcher with the Southcentral Foundation in Anchorage. There will be three panels exploring the themes of Natural Science and Resources, Governance and Sovereignty and Community Engagement, as well as a student poster session.

Researchers and students are asked to RSVP by November 14.
