National New Investigator Awards

National New Investigator (NNI) awards provide salary support to individuals who have clearly demonstrated excellence during their doctoral and post-doctoral training in cardiovascular or cerebrovascular research.  

Amount and Duration: $65,000/yr x 4 years = $260,000 total

Seed/Catalyst Grant Program

Seed/Catalyst Grants provide funding support to National New Investigator (NNI) applicants to conduct research to lay the groundwork for a new grant application. The Seed/Catalyst grants offer new investigators the opportunity to explore new and innovative ideas with high potential to create impact. Seed/Catalyst grants could support knowledge translation and implementation of knowledge into practice.

Amount and Duration: $50,000/yr x 2 years maximum = $100,000
