The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Grand Challenges Explorations program is seeking innovative global health and development solutions, and is now accepting proposals for its latest application round.
Initial grants will be US $100,000 each, and projects showing promise will have the opportunity to receive additional funding of up to US $1 million.
Applications on the following four topics are now being accepted:
- Assess Family Planning Needs, Preferences and Behaviors to Inform Innovations in Contraceptive Technologies
- Develop Novel Platforms to Accelerate Contraceptive Drug Discovery
- Design New Solutions to Data Integration for Malaria Elimination
- Accelerate Development of New Therapies for Childhood Cryptosporidium Infection
Any Dalhousie faculty member interested in any of these opportunities is asked to contact the International Research Facilitator (jennifer.morawiecki@dal.ca) for more information and support in preparing an application.
