New funding opportunities from the MS Society of Canada and MS Scientific Research Foundation

MS Scientific Research Foundation Multi-centre Collaborative Team Grant: Call for Letters of Intent

The Multiple Sclerosis Scientific Research Foundation (MSSRF) 2016 Multi-centre Collaborative Team Grant competition is now open. The Team Grant supports innovative and transformative research led by Canadian scientific and clinical experts in collaboration with world-leaders in the MS field. Outcomes resulting from this work will lead to major advances in understanding and treating MS. Interested applicants are required to submit a Letter of Intent.

The LOI application deadline is Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at 16:00 EDT.

MS Scientific Research Foundation Wellness Research Innovation Grant: Call for Pre-Applications

The MSSRF is pleased to launch the Wellness Research Innovation Grant, a funding opportunity that aims to translate research findings into innovative wellness solutions that will improve health and quality of life for people affected by MS. The Wellness Research Innovation Grant encourages the formation of partnerships between academia and community innovators, and is open to applicants in Canada including, but not limited to, academic researchers, clinical practitioners, technology companies, community-based organizations, policy makers, and educators. Community innovators must partner with an academic investigator at a Canadian research institution to apply.

Applicants will be required to engage people affected by MS in a collaborative way, to ensure that their perspective is represented and integrated throughout the study.
