2016 Young Investigator Awards

Posted by Suman Jha on January 19, 2016 in Research Funding

The Prostate Cancer Foundation (PCF) has announced a request for applications for Young Investigator Awards.

PCF Young Investigator Awards are three years in duration and provide US$75,000 per year. The award funds may be used flexibly to advance the career and research efforts of the awardee. Every PCF Young Investigator is required to be under the direct supervision of a mentor. Applicants should be within six years of having completed a professional degree or clinical training.

Applications are encouraged from early-career basic scientists, medical oncologists, pathologists, urologists, radiologists, radiation oncologists, public health experts, bioinformaticians, bioengineers, or professionals from any other field that could contribute to the end of prostate cancer. Applicants may be working in basic, translational, or clinical research and need not be trained specifically in prostate cancer research. However, successful applicants should be working in a research environment capable of supporting transformational prostate cancer research. Access to and interaction with a clinical environment, as well as translational prostate cancer physician-scientists, is highly desirable.
