Posted by Alana Milner on March 30, 2015 in Announcements

The Ireland-Canada University Foundation has announced the establishment of the James M. Flaherty Scholarship Program. The program will support educational exchange and partnership between Canada and Ireland at the highest level of academia, with the aim of facilitating greater engagement between the peoples of both countries in matters to do with shared culture, innovation and trade.

The scholarships will be operated at two levels:

  • Established researchers and academics – to enable 2 month sabbatical-style visits
  • Emerging research scholars – supporting 4 week research trips for PhD students and post-doctoral young academics, embarking on a research career

The announcement of the program’s establishment is available on the Foregin Affairs, Trade and Development Website.

More details of the James M. Flaherty Scholarship Program will be announced in due course and details will be shared in a future DRS newsletter. If you would like to be kept up to date on this program, please contact Jennifer Morawiecki, the International Research Facilitator.
