The Simons Foundation Autism Research Initiative (SFARI) is pleased to announce the opening of its 2015 Request for Applications (RFA).
Our annual RFA will provide funding for investigators conducting bold, creative and rigorous research into the underlying biology, causes and treatment of autism spectrum disorders.
SFARI will consider proposals in all areas relevant to improving our scientific understanding, diagnosis and treatment of autism spectrum disorders. These areas include genetics and other factors contributing to risk; molecular and cellular mechanisms; synaptic and circuit physiology; anatomy; sensory perception; cognition; behavior; diagnostics and therapeutics.
Please also read the recent Director’s Column, SFARI's funding priorities for the upcoming year, for specific information and insight into how SFARI analyzes, and selects from, the many applications it receives each year.
You may access this RFA and the accompanying guidelines here. Letters of intent must be submitted online and are due 10 October 2014. Full applications are due 13 February 2015. Final funding decisions should be made before July 2015.
