Booking Process

Please follow the booking process applicable for your group and the location of your event.

NOTE: When requesting bar services please provide notice at least twenty (20) calendar days in advance.

Dalhousie Faculty / Staff

  1. Download & complete the Bar Services Approval Form.
  2. Book space for the event via Campus Bookings.
  3. Complete Bar Services Approval Form.
  4. Submit Bar Services Approval form to Dalhousie Bar Services.
  5. Forward approval of your licensed event to Campus Bookings.
  6. Submit a Service Request(s) in FAMIS for any ancillary services required for the event.
  7. Bar Services will invoice you directly for any bar products consumed.

Ratified Student Societies (Academic Buildings)

  1. Ensure that your society has been ratified through the DSU.
  2. Complete the online DSU Risk Assessment process. 
  3. Download & complete the Bar Services Approval Form
  4. Submit the completed form to Dalhousie Bar Services.
  5. Book space for the event via Campus Bookings.
  6. Forward approval of your licensed event to Campus Bookings.
  7. Campus Bookings will book any ancillary services related to the event and will invoice your society.
  8. Space for the event will be confirmed upon receipt of payment of the invoice from Campus Bookings.
  9. Dalhousie Bar Services will invoice the Society directly for any bar products consumed (pre-authorization on credit card).

Ratified Student Societies (Student Union Building Only)

  1. Ensure that your society has been ratified through the DSU.
  2. Complete the online DSU Risk Assessment process.
  3. Contact DSU Bar Services with your event inquiry.

External Clients/Guests

  1. Contact the Event & Conference Services Office to discuss and book your event on campus.
  2. Download & complete the Bar Services Approval Form.
  3. Returned completed form to your Event & Conference Services Event Manager.
  4. All charges for bar products will be added to the final billing from Event & Conference Services post-event.
