About SERS

The annual Sustainability and Environmental Research Symposium (SERS) provides a forum for exchange of ideas on recent advances in research, theory and practice in environment and health research.

The Symposium provides an atmosphere for interdisciplinary exchange around human systems and well-being as they interact with the hydrosphere, lithosphere, atmosphere and biosphere - the environments on which plants and animals (including humans) depend for survival and which can be disrupted by human activities.

The SERS is typically a one-day event, co-hosted with the College of Sustainability at Dalhousie University. The event includes a poster session, keynote speaker, and awards. Students are also encouraged to share their work by participating in the Science Atlantic Environment Conference.
