Established in April 2023, the FAFU-Dal Joint College is a formal partnership between Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University (FAFU) and Dalhousie University, two institutions with deep roots in agricultural and environmental sciences. Our mission is to cultivate globally minded graduates with the skills to address 21st-century challenges in food security, sustainable design, and agribusiness.

2003+
Launch of Sino-Foreign Cooperative Education Programs
- Established cooperative programs with the University of British Columbia and Dalhousie University in Canada, offering undergraduate programs in Horticulture, Agricultural Resources and Environment, among others.
April 2023
Official Approval of the Joint College
- The FAFU-Dal Joint College, Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University (a non-independent legal entity secondary institution) was approved by the Ministry of Education. This marks a key milestone in the upgrading of the educational model.
2024
First Enrollment of the Joint College
- Launched the "4+0" model with its first cohort. Initial programs: Landscape Architecture (107 students) and Agricultural and Forestry Economics and Management (105 students).
2024+
"4+0" Model Implementation
- Students complete their entire undergraduate studies in China with access to high-quality resources from both institutions. Upon meeting academic requirements, students are eligible to receive degrees from both universities.
Upon Program Completion
Graduation and Degree Conferral
- After completing the 4-year program and meeting all requirements, students are awarded: Graduation Certificate and Bachelor's Degree from Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, and a Bachelor's Degree from Dalhousie University (Canada).
