The Univeristy of Waterloo will provide expertise on well bore leakage mechanisms.  Well bore leakage is a major component of methane gas seepage from legacy oil and gas developments, often contributing to fugitive atmospheric emissions and groundwater methane.

Maurice Dusseault

Maurice Dusseault, Ph.D. is an expert in geomechanics, wellbore stability and integrity, and oilfield technology.  He carries out research in petroleum geomechanics (drilling, hydraulic fracturing, reservoir geomechanics), and is a world expert on new production methods, deep waste sequestration in sedimentary basins, and reservoir geomechanics. He is a registered professional engineer in Alberta and Ontario and frequently works with governments and industry as an advisor.
