Dr. Jill Hayden: BACK Program Research Lead

Jill Hayden is Associate Professor in the Department of Community Health & Epidemiology at Dalhousie University, and Nova Scotia Science Lead with the Maritime SPOR SUPPORT Unit. Jill has a clinical background in chiropractic, and was previously Scientist at University Health Network (CREIDO) (2006-2008) and Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Health Policy, Management & Evaluation, University of Toronto. Rachel Ogilvie: Research Program Coordinator (see above)

Rachel Ogilvie is Research Program Coordinator for the BACK Program and brings more than 10 years supporting research across a range of disciplines. She supports the administration of the research program, including grant development, ethical approvals and trainee mentorship. Rachel received her MA in Gerontology from Mount Saint Vincent University.

Jenna Ellis: Research Assistant (see above)

Jenna is a Research Assistant with the BACK Program and completed her MSc. in Epidemiology with a specialization in Biostatistics at Queen’s University. Jenna brings a passion for data analysis to the team, along with a solid foundation in epidemiology.

Alisha Hiscott: Research Assistant (see above)

Alisha Hiscott is Research Assistant with the BACK Program and provides day-today support for the Red Flags for Low Back Pain study. Alisha is representative of the study at our four Nova Scotia ED sites. Alisha brings her considerable experience in emergency department research to the team.

Sareen Singh: Research Assistant

Sareen is a Research Assistant with the BACK Program. Sareen is currently working towards completing her MSc. in the Department of Community Health and Epidemiology at Dalhousie University.

Maria Wilson: Research Associate (casual) (see above)

Maria is a Research Associate with the BACK Program and completed her MSc. in Community Health & Epidemiology at Dalhousie University. Maria brings her considerable quantiative experience to the team, as well as experience with primary research.

Dr. Kirk Magee: BACK Program Clinical Co-Lead
Kirk is an Emergency Physician at the QEII Health Sciences Centre, and a founding member of the Back Pain Evidence Synthesis & Translation team. He is Associate Professor and Department Head of the Department of Emergency Medicine, Dalhousie University, Chief, Central Zone Network of Emergency Departments, and Research Director of Emergency Department, Halifax Infirmary. Dr. Samuel Campbell: BACK Program Clinical Co-Lead
Sam is Chief of Emergency Medicine at the QEII Health Sciences Centre and Hants Community Hospital and Professor in the Department of Emergency Medicine, Dalhousie University. The Low Back Pain Advisory Group

The Low Back Pain Advisory Group is composed of representatives including patients, emergency medicine, family medicine, orthopedics, paramedicine, nursing, and healthcare administration. The Advisory Group participates in bi-annual consultations to engage with project methods and outputs, and share relevant findings with their colleagues.
