A Dalhousie University PhD candidate is fuelling the debate that culture—generally viewed as distinctly human—is also found in the animal kingdom. Mauricio Cantor's findings, published today in Nature Communications, suggest that culture is an important mechanism for structuring society in two clans of sperm whales.
