Recruitment

Get involved with Dal students

Build your brand on campus by developing and maintaining a visible presence with our students. Organizations that participate in events and actively promote their brands see increased engagement from students. Take the opportunity to engage with students beyond the interview. Our dedicated support staff will help you connect with students in a meaningful way.

We offer these services & more:

Information Sessions

Target students by hosting an information session on- or off-campus. Share insights about your business and current career opportunities and meet directly with our top talent - all at no cost to you! Our support team can help you with this process, including promoting your brand on campus and attracting students to your session.

Industry Networking Events

Typically held in the fall term, employers are welcome to take part in industry-specific networking events, which are very well-attended by our students. This is a great opportunity for you to promote your organization and network with and meet our students before your interview process begins.

Interview Coordination

In addition to coordinating the scheduling of your interviews, we can provide on-campus interview rooms to meet with our students.

Job Postings

Dalhousie University offers employers access to myCareer, a centralized online recruitment system that integrates all co-op and career offices on campus. In addition to posting a job, the systems also allows you to review applications and schedule interviews.

Corporate Tours

There are a number of opportunities during the academic year to host Dal students at your office and leave them with a lasting impression of your organization. Corporate tours provide you with the opportunity to maximize your brand exposure while identifying and assessing potential talent.

In the Classroom

We welcome employers interested in engaging both undergraduate and graduate students in the classroom. Participate as a guest lecturer or as an employer panelist. Often faculty members' course plans are made for an entire term, but we are always interested in receiving requests from employers to be engaged with our motivated students.

Case Competitions

Case competitions allow students to put their analysis and communication skills to the test by solving complex problems in a intense team environment. Engage directly with students and benefit from their applied learning by sponsoring or judging a case competition.

Practice Interviews

Meet one-on-one with students while helping them to improve their interviewing techniques. Mock interviews in select faculties are organized each year. Ask how your organization get involved in upcoming events.

Student Societies

With over 300 clubs and societies on campus, recruiting to student societies offers the opportunity to tap into a targeted and engaged group of students. Many of these groups host special events year-round, including industry competitions, receptions, speaker series and panel discussions providing excellent opportunities for corporate participation. Reach out to your employer contact to determine which society may best match your recruitment needs.
