Your gift to Dal helps strengthen the Faculty of Dentistry
In the Faculty of Dentistry, we are committed to educating the next generation of dental professionals who will improve dental care in their communities. Through a combination of clinical practice, research, and outreach programs, our students graduate as compassionate dental professionals with a commitment to serving the community.
Digital solutions and technology help reduce patient treatment time, dental production time, and material costs while improving health records and surgical accuracy. Your gift to the Digital Dentistry fund will help us acquire new software and hardware, equipping our units with digital radiographs, intraoral scanners, and onsite 3D printing and manufacturing. With these resources, our students can graduate with proficiency in all aspects of digital workflows.
Our outreach programs improve access to oral health care for over 20,000 people across Atlantic Canada, including school children and equity-deserving populations. Through community clinics, students gain hands-on clinical experience while serving diverse patients. Your support helps them build skills and deliver essential care where it’s needed most.
Digital dentistry improves student learning and patient care
Veronique Nguyen (DDH'24) and Brandon Worthen (DDS'24) are enthusiastic about digital dentistry techniques and their impact on the patient experience. With access to the latest technologies, dentistry and dental hygiene students can graduate with a higher level of career readiness.
