Fall 2023 Clinical Educaton Feature
Representatives from the PT clinical community in Newfoundland, Nova Scotia Health Authority, IWK, NB Horizon Health Network met in person (rep from Health PEI virtually) met with the Dal clinical education team and Yr 1 and yr 2 classes in the Fall term to:
- Consult, collaborate, communicate and coordinate the clinical education component of the MScPT curriculum.
- Identify and advocate for clinical education needs and issue to enhance the quality of the clinical education curriculum.
Clinical Community Discussions
Early in the new year, the SoPT Clinical Education Team will be hosting open discussions with our Atlantic Canadian private practice clinical partners in order to engage, connect and discuss ways of reducing concerns around providing PT student placements in private clinical settings. While sessions are open to any/all clinical partners, there will be a special focus on hosting PT student placements in the private practice setting. These virtual discussions will take place:
