Danielle is a second year student in the entry level Physiotherapy program at Dalhousie. Danielle came to Dalhousie with an undergraduate degree and honours in Behavioural Neuroscience from Memorial University. She is also a previous recipient of an NSERC Representative Student Award presented at the annual Science Atlantic Student Conference in 2011 for her work in Dr. Dale Corbett’s lab on “A rodent model of vascular cognitive impairment: Assessing the effects of stroke in prefrontal cortex and thalamus using an attentional set shifting task”. 

Danielle has since co-authored a publication entitled, “Impaired executive function following ischemic stroke in the rat medial prefrontal cortex” which was published this fall in Behavioural Brain Research. She hopes to continue on with research in the future, with a focus on clinical research.
