Curriculum Committee Call for Two Clinician Reps:
The School of Physiotherapy Curriculum Committee is seeking applications for two (2) Clinician Representatives - including one representative from recent graduating class (ie. 2014 - 2016).
The mandate of the curriculum committee is to:
1) Monitor the curriculum by gathering input from: students, faculty, the clinical communities, student course/module/clinical placement evaluations, module reviews and reports, and surveys of graduates and employers.
2) Identify and discuss curriculum issues with module leaders, faculty, and instructors via regular Curriculum Committee meetings, Module Reviews, and Annual Retreats.
3) Coordinate, under direction from the Program Director, the Graduate Program Coordinator, and the faculty, the implementation, revision and evaluation of the MScPT entry-level curriculum, with a special emphasis on coordination and sequencing of program content.
4) Identify faculty development activities in terms of educational seminars, new technologies, and discussions of teaching innovations.
5) Lead periodic major curriculum reviews when deemed necessary by faculty.
The committee is comprised of Module Leaders, the ACCE, two clinical representatives (including one recent graduate), two student representatives, administrative support (non-voting) and the Director (ex officio). The terms of office are two years with the option to renew one time. Meetings are held at least twice per year, and more frequently as necessary.
