About  

Seema Nagpal obtained a B.Sc Pharmacy from Dalhousie University.  She completed a residency in hospital pharmacy with the Ottawa General Hospital pharmacy with the Ottawa General Hospital and worked at the QEII Health Science Centre.  Her clinical activities were in the areas of hematology/oncolocy and gynecology/oncology.  She then completed a MSc Community Health, Dalhousie University in 1999.  Seema has been involved in research initiatives with the Population Health Research Unit, Dalhousie University, and Hematology Research, Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre and most recently with Health Canada.

Seema has precepted students in the hospital and worked with a pharmacy summer student at Health Canada.  She works primarily in the field of cardiovascular disease epidemology and population based interventions.

Her interests include the surveillance of chronic diseases, the impact of determinants of health on health outcomes and implementation of research into practice.
