Dal research influencing federal policy

Thursday June 20, 2024 Prime Minister Justin Trudeau was in Nova Scotia revealing the new national school food policy. The principles that were outlined in it were previously identified by Kimberley Hernandez (a doctoral student of Sara Kirk’s along with her and other colleagues) back in 2018. Five out of six of the characteristics they identified map to the principles in the policy. Visit the publication here.
