Contact our Engineers in Residence
An Engineer in Residence is a professional engineer who mentors engineering students throughout their course of studies, and especially during their Capstone Design Projects. The Engineer in Residence also develops and fosters relationships between industry and faculty members, with the goal of creating synergetic opportunities for students, faculty, and industry.
Thank you for your attendance at the 2022 Dalhousie Engineer Capstone Conference, which took place on Tuesday, April 5th, 2022 at the Westin Nova Scotian. Out of consideration for the health and safety of our students and attendees, this year's poster expo did not take place in person.
All student posters, as well as the event programme and recordings, may be viewed using the "2022 Capstone Conference" link below or on the sidebar.
Showcasing Student Innovation with Industry Partners
The Dalhousie Engineering Capstone Conference (DECC) is the largest event for senior year engineering students, incorporating all engineering disciplines within the Faculty. The conference gives students the opportunity to showcase how their Capstone Projects integrate course work and engineering design skills to provide innovative solutions to local industry partners.
The conference is a celebration of the innovation landscape that is developing in Nova Scotia; it highlights students who will go on to work as professional engineers, continue to research through postgraduate studies, or pursue design ideas through Dalhousie’s ideaHUB and its innovation-based programs.
