Dalhousie Engineering Capstone Conference
DALHOUSIE ENGINEERING CAPSTONE CONFERENCE 2023
We are excited to announce that the 7th annual Dalhousie Engineering Capstone Conference (DECC) will be held on Sexton Campus on Tuesday, April 11th, 2023, from 1-3:30pm.
The event is being relaunched as a poster exposition only; visitors can tour our new buildings and see displays and demonstrations of our students' capstone projects. Wander through the Emera IDEA Building and the Richard Murray Design Building, where all students will be sharing their posters.
Showcasing Student Innovation with Industry Partners
The Dalhousie Engineering Capstone Conference (DECC) is the largest event for senior year engineering students, incorporating all engineering disciplines within the Faculty. The conference gives students the opportunity to showcase how their Capstone Projects integrate course work and engineering design skills to provide innovative solutions to local industry partners.
The conference is a celebration of the innovation landscape that is developing in Nova Scotia; it highlights students who will go on to work as professional engineers, continue to research through postgraduate studies, or pursue design ideas through Dalhousie’s ideaHUB and its innovation-based programs.
How to Get Involved
The Capstone Conference offers numerous opportunities for industry partners to get involved:
- Become a corporate sponsor
- Act as an industry judge
- Propose a Capstone Project for the Class of 2023
