Application Procedure

The application to the graduate program in Computer Science (PhD, MCS, MACS, MHI, MEC, MSc-Comp. Biology & Bioinformatics) is a four-step process, as follows:

  1. Submit the Graduate Studies online application
    • It is recommended to first type the information required into a text file and copy and paste into the online application form.
  2. Submit the Faculty of Computer Science online application and documents
  3. Ask your academic referees (e.g. professors) to submit their reference letter online with the Faculty of Graduate Studies from a university email address, or in paper form. Ask your non-academic referees (e.g. company supervisor) to submit their reference letter in paper form. Paper letters should be mailed to:

  4. In addition to submitting scanned copies under step 2 above, send hard copies to the address above of:
    • Official Transcripts from all Universities and Colleges attended
    • Official English Proficiency test score (if applicable).

Application Deadlines

The following deadlines are in effect. Applications received after the deadlines will be considered for admission in the next term.

Deadlines for applications from Canadian Citizens or Permanent Residents September admission January admission May admission
Application deadline June 1
(For preferred consideration for financial aid: November 30)
October 31 February 28
Deadlines for international applications September admission January admission May admission
