Each year, the Atlantic Agricultural Hall of Fame celebrates the outstanding contributions of four individuals who have significantly influenced the agriculture industry in Atlantic Canada.
Producers, innovators, volunteers, scientists, and business professionals are recognized for their impact at the local, national, and international levels.
Established in 1968, the Hall of Fame honors one individual from each of the four Atlantic Provinces during an annual induction ceremony and reception hosted by Dalhousie’s Faculty of Agriculture every October.
The 2025 inductees into the Atlantic Agricultural Hall of Fame are:
- Anthony "Tony" Corsten (1940-2022) – Nova Scotia
- Gerald Chevrier – New Brunswick
- Mette Ching – Prince Edward Island
- Elvis Gillam – Newfoundland and Labrador
This year’s induction ceremony will take place on Thursday, October 16th at 1:00 p.m. in the Riverview Room, Jenkins Hall, on the Dalhousie Agricultural Campus.
“Each year, the Atlantic Agricultural Hall of Fame allows us to celebrate the remarkable individuals who have shaped agriculture in our region through innovation, leadership, and service,” says Dr. Heather Bruce, Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture at Dalhousie University. “This year’s inductees exemplify the strength, resilience, and dedication that define Atlantic Canadian agriculture, and we are proud to shine a spotlight on their enduring contributions at this special event.”
