Extended Learning will be offering Emergency First Aid Training sessions with instructor Gordon Richardson of Priority First Aid. These sessions are open to faculty, staff and students.
Dates
Tuesday, April 12th – Emergency First Aid (8:30 am – 3:30 pm)
All sessions will take place in room 254 of Haley Institute with a maximum of 10 people per session. Further dates will be added as needed. Please note that late entrance to sessions will not be permitted, as crucial information is covered within the first half hour of the course. If you arrive late you may be turned away and instructed to enroll for another offering.

Emergency First Aid - $105 per person
Details
Emergency First Aid: This course is recognized by the Nova Scotia Department of Labour and Advanced Education. Emergency First Aid: Includes CPR-C certification (Adult, Baby and Child CPR). Emergency First Aid is for people who require a general knowledge of first aid principles and the emergency treatment of injuries. Skills include: victim assessment, rescue breathing, CPR, choking, respiratory emergencies (allergies, hyperventilation and asthma), managing severe bleeding, heart attack and stroke, abdominal injury, burns and facial injuries.

To reserve your spot, contact Shelley Wentzell at extended.learning@dal.ca. Please indicate your preferred date and include account information if the fees will be covered by your unit or department.
Please note that certificates earned through Emergency First Aid courses are issued by the Priority First Aid rather than Extended Learning, and will be sent in the mail to recipients once processing has been complete.
