Name: Mila Maclean, Class of
Current employer: IMP Aerospace
Position: Program Director
Why did you choose engineering: I discovered during my Animal Science degree that I really liked Math. So, when I finished that, I moved into Engineering and picked Industrial as a discipline.
Favourite part of your career: There’s never a dull moment.
Biggest challenge: There’s never a dull moment. I did that twice on purpose - the challenges I face in this role aren’t usually things I could have predicted.
What advice would you give to a student considering a career in engineering: You are allowed to make mistakes. In fact I encourage you to make mistakes! It’s the best way to learn and find new solutions. All that I ask is that you own it and then fix it.
