Position: Part-time Academics – Fall 2018
Department:  Plant, Food, and Environmental Sciences
Pay Rate:  In accordance with the CUPE collective agreement

Work Assignment:   This Part-time Academic will teach Lectures and Labs for HORT1002 – Turf Production and Management for Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, China using Distance and blended learning modes for the period of September 2018 – January 2019.  The class is generally taught either early in the mornings or late in the evenings due to the time difference.  The Part-time Academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including lectures, test preparation and evaluation.  The position reports to the Chair of the Department.

At least one year experience in teaching in a postsecondary educational institution. Excellent oral, written communication, collegiality and interpersonal skills. PhD in Horticulture Sciences, Turf Science or related disciplines  OR Masters with two year experience in Horticulture Sciences, Landscape Horticulture, Turf Science or related disciplines.
