The Atlantic Agricultural Hall of Fame was established 1968 as a means of honoring individuals in Atlantic Canada for their contribution to the development of the agricultural industry in the region. Each year, one person from each of the four Atlantic Provinces is honored at an induction ceremony and reception held at Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Agriculture during the month of October.
The 2015 nominees include Richard (Dick) Huggard – Nova Scotia, NSAC Class of ’56, Dale Dewar – Prince Edward Island, Stephen Moffett – New Brunswick, NSAC Class of ’72 and Mervin Wiseman – Newfoundland & Labrador
Induction ceremonies will be held on Thursday, October 15 beginning at 1:00 p.m. in Alumni Theatre, on the Agricultural Campus. The Atlantic Agricultural Hall of Fame operates as a result of the support given by agricultural organizations, public agencies, corporations and private individuals.
