Dalhousie University Faculty of Agriculture will be hosting The Amazing AgZone Race on May 20th - 22nd on the Dalhousie Agricultural Campus. Over the course of three days 442 grade 8 students from eight schools will be racing across campus to increase their knowledge of Agriculture.
At a series of stations across campus, students participate in mini-workshops on diverse topics such as Sheep and wool, DNA extraction from strawberries, climate change, the healthy rumen, tensile strength and 3D printing, living plant walls and agriculture trivia.
AgZone is presented by Dalhousie Faculty of Agriculture, Nova Scotia Department of Agriculture and the Nova Scotia Agriculture Awareness Committee with the goal of revealing some of the science behind agriculture and to promote education and careers in agriculture.
