DAL - AC continues its active engagement in the community and you are invited to attend the opening of an international collaboration called "Water is Key".
The opening is at NSCC McCarthy Gallery Thursday, 5th March, 7pm. There will be door prizes and opportunities to purchase art with the funds channelled to water projects where they are desperately needed. Gil Garcetti, former Attorney General of California and current UNESCO Ambassador for Water, has been partnering with DAL-AC for years through his co-authoring of a paper with Kathleen Kevany and lending his legendary black and white photographs to tell the poignant and powerful story of water stressed parts of Western Africa.
This exhibit is a partnership between NSCC-Truro Campus and DAL-AC and is an example of dissemination and mobilization of research. This is a public place to broaden the conversation about the challenges and successes researchers shared in a special issue called "Water, Women, Waste, Wisdom and Wealth" in the Journal of Cleaner Production. Work of Dalhousie-AC's water management specialist, Dr. Robert France, also will be exhibited.
