THE EVOLUTION OF MILK NATURE’S MOST NUTRITIOUS FLUID
Dr. Olav T. Oftedal, is an Emeritus Nutritional Ecologist with the Smithsonian Environmental Research Center in Maryland. He received his A.B. in Harvard University, and his Ph.D. in Cornell. His research specialties include nutritional ecology of terrestrial and marine animals, interactions of plants and herbivores, evolution of amniote reproduction, nutritional requirements of reptiles and mammals, marine mammals, and mammalian milks and lactation strategies.
