Kudos are extended to two researchers at Dalhousie’s Faculty of Agriculture
-Dr. Sean Myles is co-author of an article appearing in Nature Magazine entitled Agriculture: Feeding the future - We must mine the biodiversity in seed banks to help overcome food shortages.
The article, appearing in the Comment section was authored by attendees and organizers of the Crop Wild Relative Genomics meeting held in Asilomar, California, in December 2012

-Dr. Gordon Price was the recent recipient of $268,000 from the Canadian Water Network for his research in the area of fate and transport of emerging substances of concern in municipal biosolids applied to agricultural lands. This project, being managed by Canada Water Network’s Canadian Municipal Water Consortium, will both significantly advance the science and knowledge in Canada in the areas of municipal wastewater and biosolids and directly support decision makers and practitioners.
