Discussion on the Dalhousie International Strategy
Wednesday May 8th
2:30-4:00 pm
Haley 112
The April 5, 2013 draft of the Dalhousie University International Strategy was presented by Dr Watters at the April 9th meeting of our Faculty Council. Some members of our Faculty indicated that they would value an opportunity to discuss this as a group. I offered to convene a Discussion Group to explore and potentially comment on aspects of the International Strategy.
The draft version of the proposed Dalhousie University’s International Strategy submitted by the Steering Committee of the Dalhousie International Strategy Committee (DISC) may be found at the following link: http://senioradmin.dal.ca/files/vp-academic/Draft_Dalhousie_International_Strategy.pdf
I suggest that we may initially focus our discussion on some Guiding Questions:
1. What unique or additional contributions can the Faculty of Agriculture bring to internationalization of our university?
2. Are there aspects of our present state of internationalization or future direction as a Faculty that are not in sync with the Strategy?
All members of the Faculty of Agriculture (faculty, staff, students) are welcome and encouraged to attend! For more information, please contact Nancy Pitts (893-6653; nancy.pitts@dal.ca ).
Individuals are also welcome to send their feedback directly to the Executive Director of International Relations, Dr. Alain Boutet (alain.boutet@dal.ca).
