On March 13, 2024, the Government of Canada, through the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council (NSERC) and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), launched the Global Centres - Bioeconomy initiative led by the US National Science Foundation (NSF). The 2024 competition, organized with other international partners, will focus on supporting international, interdisciplinary collaborative research centres to foster cutting-edge breakthroughs in the bioeconomy.
