American Chemical Society: Petroleum Research Fund Call for Proposals

Posted by Jaq-Lin Larder on July 31, 2023 in Research Funding

The Petroleum Research Fund is an endowed fund, managed by the American Chemical Society that supports fundamental research directly related to petroleum or fossil fuels at non-profit institutions (generally colleges and universities) in the United States and other countries.

There is one stream that Canadian researchers are eligible to apply for:

New Directions (ND) Grant ($125,000 USD over 2 years): provides funds to scientists and engineers with limited preliminary results for a research project they wish to pursue, and who intend to use the PRF-driven preliminary results to seek continuation funding from other agencies. ND grants are to be used to illustrate proof of concept/feasibility. They are to be viewed as seed money for new research ventures.

Calls for Proposals will open August 14, 2023.

Note that new applicants must pre-register. Visit the page for further details and to pre-register.

Please visit the ACS PRF webpage for further information.
