On Wednesday May 17, the SickKids Research Integrity Office will be hosting a Research Integrity symposium.
Dr. Tim Errington, Senior Director of Research at the Center for Open Science, will be speaking on The Reproducibility Project: Cancer Biology, a large-scale systematic investigation into the replicability of high-impact, preclinical cancer biology experiments.
In ‘Barriers to replicating preclinical cancer biology research - challenges or opportunities?’ Dr. Errington discusses the challenges in designing and conducting replications, difficulties in understanding and replicating the original methods and findings, and the outcome of the projects findings. A panel discussion will follow Dr. Errington’s presentation with expert members of the SickKids research community.
