Why keep telling a history of racism? New perspectives on the dispossession of Japanese Canadians
SSHRC, in partnership with The Conversation Canada, invites you to join the next event in the public talks series In Conversation With. This month will feature Jordan Stanger-Ross, winner of SSHRC’s 2022 Connection Award, along with professor Audrey Kobayashi.
Stanger-Ross is a professor in the Department of History at the University of Victoria. His research focuses on migration, race and inequality in the 20th century, especially in North America. He will be joined by Kobayashi, professor emerita in the Department of Geography and Planning at Queen’s University, whose research focuses on geography, geopolitics, and racial and gender studies.
Join the conversation on April 18 at 3pm AST.
This event will be livestreamed in English, with simultaneous interpretation in French and closed captioning in both languages. A recording of the event will be available in the weeks following the virtual event.
