SSHRC, in conjunction with Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) and the European Union (EU), has launched a funding opportunity to support Canadian engagement with European research partners applying to Horizon 2020.
Horizon 2020 is the EU’s largest research funding platform to date. In October 2017, the EU released the platform’s final work program for 2018-20 that comprises calls for research worth €30 billion.
Application instructions are now available for Canadian researchers interested in working directly with research teams from EU member countries on the theme of Migration within Horizon 2020 Societal Challenge 6: “Europe in a changing world—Inclusive, innovative and reflective societies.” Canadians participating in successful projects can receive up to $200,000 from SSHRC/IRCC for periods of up to 3 years.
For more detailed information on this call, and the application process, please visit: Horizon 2020 Migration Call.
Any faculty member interested in this opportunity is asked to contact the International Research Manager (jennifer.morawiecki@dal.ca), for more information and support in preparing an application.
