A fifth call has been announced for the Joint Canada-Israel Health Research Program. This is a joint initiative of CIHR, the International Development Research Centre (IDRC) in Ottawa, the Israel Science Foundation, and the Azrieli Foundation.
The scientific focus of these calls is the biomedical sciences, with special emphasis on new frontiers in metabolism in health and disease.
There is an expectation that research teams develop plans for substantive inclusion of researchers from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs), as well as Canadians and Israelis. Up to 6 international teams will be funded; Canadian and LMIC partners can receive up to $670,000 over three years.
Full details are available on the ResearchNet website.
Note the requirement to pre-register by 29 January.
Any faculty member interested in this opportunity is asked to contact the International Research Manager (jennifer.morawiecki@dal.ca) in the Office of Research Services, as soon as possible, for more information and support in preparing an application.
